The Minister of Health and Social Services Yves Bolduc said he was satisfied with his meeting with Sandoz Canada regarding the fall in production of injectable drugs.
The minister said Sandoz does everything it can to minimize the impacts caused by downturns in recent weeks at its plant in Boucherville.
The Health Minister also met last week with his counterpart at the federal Minister Leona Aglukkaq, the consequences of stopping the production of injectable drugs by Sandoz.
Yves Bolduc argues that all Canadian provinces are ready to make an effort to mitigate the effects of reduced drugs on the market.
Moreover, the Quebec Ministry of Health has set up a crisis unit three weeks ago, to monitor the situation.
The plant in Boucherville Sandoz has partially resumed production of injectable drug earlier this week.
